Pre-Wedding Bay Area Photos

I got super pumped that Priscilla + Austin wanted their pre-wedding photo session in a studio! Studios often get a bad rep for being awkward and just plain traditional. That’s not the case anymore- modern studios now can be found super open, bright and most importantly, there’s a bathroom. That is a HUGE perk when you get your photos taken in a studio.

They flew in from Seattle for a trip of wedding to-dos, including the pre-wedding session! Priscilla got glammed up by Fiona, and as we waited for her to finish, Austin had some solo photos taken as a warmup.

Another great perk of having photos taken in the studio is being able to throw confetti (it is not great for the environment to throw confetti in nature), and Priscilla and Austin were down for confetti!! It really was awesome and we all laughed so hard. Nothing is more joyful than having lots of confetti!

Halfway through the session, they changed into their traditional Chinese red outfits. I loved that they wanted to honor Priscilla’s family’s traditions. It’s always awesome when couples integrate traditional outfits from whatever culture they’re in :)

To P + A, thank you for all the laughter and for being okay to have confetti everywhere. Here’s to many more years of eating dim sum and being silly with each other!!
