MY NAME IS DEBRA
As a San Francisco wedding photographer, I approach my work with passion and humor. If you don't appreciate food and aren't a little extra, we might not be a good match.
I believe that your love story is significant and deserves to be captured in the most beautiful way possible. That's why I'm here - to photograph every moment of your special day. In ten years, I want you to look back at your pictures and say, "Wow, we looked stunning, and that was one hell of a celebration."
Even more importantly, I want you to remember how loved, connected, and gorgeous everyone was. Growing up, my family wasn't big on celebrations or showing emotions.
It wasn't until I attended a friend's lively family gathering that I fell in love with the chaos, the mess, and the overflowing joy of it all. From that moment, I knew I wanted to capture that same level of connection and love as a San Francisco wedding photographer.
THE STORY
BEHIND MISTERDEBS
My nameβs Debra - but people call me Debs. Or Deb Or Mister Debs. Basically, I answer to anything with βDebβ in it. Why the weird name you ask? (I know you are wondering).
Before I had launched my photography career, a coworker had brought her Nintendo Switch to play during breaks. I discovered you could create your own character on Mario Kart and thought it was the most amazing thing ever. The little kid in me came out as I started creating characters and giving them names. My favorite of these? Mr. Debs.
Mr. Debs became like an extension of my personalityβand a long-living inside joke with my co-workers.
When it came to deciding on a name for my business, I wanted something memorable that showed off my quirkiness. I was also inspired by Insta-star, Mr. Kate. I love how she totally embodies and accepts the #creativewierdo mantra. Itβs totally my vibe.
And with this, misterdebs was born.
