Carmel By The Sea Wedding
OH MY GOODNESS, Morgan & Chrisβ intimate wedding was just so special in many ways. They were one of the many couples who changed their original wedding plan due to COVID :( They changed it about three times before they settled on the beautiful Monterey Coast! We were in constant communication about locations and the overall plan. However, the universe brought all of it together, and Morgan and Chris officially married on Christmas Eve. Thatβs right folks, on Christmas Eve! It definitely doesnβt get any more magical and festive than that. We were brainstorming locations until Morgan mentioned that their officiant Ken recommended a more seclusive spot on the coast.
We stayed at The Hideaway in Carmel the night before to get ourselves situated before the special day. Spa Bella came in early on Christmas Eve morning to glam Morgan up. Morgan opted to have a first look with her dad, which just gave me all the feels.
After the first look, we drove on over to the ceremony spot. It was windy (as typical of the coast), sunny, and you can just smell the sweet coastal air. Morgan and Chris became partners for life in front of their closest family members, including their sweet daughter Sierra (who had a really cute flower crown).
The reception was a journey to arrange, but in the end, Amy from Kiss Me In Carmel Vintage Rentals saved that part by offering her place to host the intimate celebration. She is the wedding fairy godmother!! Morgan and Chris also arranged to have an early Christmas eve dinner, and all the family members mingled with one another. We had a delicious cake from Tart + Tin before we headed over to Carmel Beach for sunset portraits!
The sunset was super wonderful. Despite the rainy forecast, the sky had pastel colors with a touch of sun peeking out. I canβt even begin to describe how happy I was for Morgan and Chris that everything came togetherβ it really was like a Christmas miracle!
To Morgan & Chris: sending you both a lifetime supply of laughs, happy tears and togetherness. I felt so honored to have a small part on your special day with your families. Thank you a million times, and even more so after that π
