COVID-19 ain’t gonna ruin your party!

Well, just when you thought planning a wedding wasn’t stressful enough, along comes the ‘rona, and here we are. 2020 was full of surprises and challenges for wedding couples, but now that we have a year under our belt and hope on the horizon, we’re all feeling like gathering again cannot come soon enough.

I think wedding celebrations are going to be EPIC in these next coming years. If we thought weddings were fun before, I cannot wait to photograph people bursting with joy to be celebrating now!

As a wedding vendor, we have a special obligation to keep you and your guests safe, so I always discuss precautions with my clients to make sure that they feel comfortable with the choices that we are making.

Before your wedding, we’ll review any restrictions and work through together how we are going to handle them. And since things are always changing rapidly, I’ll keep you up to date on anything that is released by the state of California, or the city you are getting married in. I’ve got you!

Video Meetings Will Continue
While I’d love to be able to meet all my clients face to face before the weddings, video conferences are the way to go right now. We can choose a time that is convenient for you, and I’d love to see your happy faces! During our time together, I’ll be able to answer any questions you have about my wedding photography services or to chat about what you have planned for your wedding.

If you want to discuss the best locations for engagement photos, how to get people all in one spot for wedding portraits- whatever you have questions about, I’m your girl. I’m also available for phone chats if you prefer, or we can meet in person if you’re in the San Francisco area and you want to grab a cup of coffee or tea. I’d love to meet you!

I’m Masked Up
Wearing masks is something we’ve all had to get used to for safety, and I’m always masked at events. I carry several with me and remove them only briefly when eating or drinking. Keeping you and your guests safe is my priority!

Respectful But Happy Distances Kept
I am a huge people-person-nerd, so learning to keep my distance was a challenge at first.  But now we’ve all lived and learned and photographing weddings during a pandemic can now be listed on my resume!  I use long lenses, move in and out of rooms as needed, and drive separately from my clients during photo shoots whenever possible.

Frequent hand washing and full sanitization of my gear have now become a habit, and honestly, I think I’ll continue these sanitation habits forever. Better safe than sorry!

Tested and Approved!
I always want to raise my arms above my head and yell “approved” like the Target lady on Saturday Night Live when I get my COVID test!  But, it’s true, I do test often. Before weddings, after weddings, or any time I am in a large gathering.

I’m actively working to keep everyone safe!

Virtual Hand Holding Always Included

I know that planning a wedding now has unique challenges and that it can be hard to give up or modify those dreams you had for your wedding day. Here’s where I want to encourage you to lean on your trusted wedding vendors (like me!).

We know how rough this is, and we’re here to help. Over the past year, we’ve learned some tricks, and it really is true; love is not canceled. Your wedding day will be beautiful!

If you have a concern, question, or you just want a little whine with that cheese, I’m here to help you. All you have to do is reach out and we can work through it!

And if you’re still searching for a wedding photographer for your wedding in San Francisco or the surrounding Bay Area, I’d love to talk more. Let’s meet, do an elbow bump virtually or in person, and talk about your wedding plans!
