Bryant Park NYC Engagement Photos
The opening of Winter Village in Bryant Park is a sure sign that the holiday season has arrived in New York!
Lauren and Cal, high school sweethearts, opted to have their engagement photos taken at the Winter Village. Though Cal had originally planned to propose to Lauren there, logistics got in the way and he ended up proposing elsewhere. Nevertheless, Bryant Park provided the perfect backdrop for their photoshoot. They started at Bryant Park before exploring downtown and capturing some amazing urban shots at Tudor City.
In their own words, here is the (brief) story of Lauren and Cal:
When youβre young, thereβs always that one crush that you used to write notes to, want to hold hands with in the hallway and dream about growing old together with. Calvin and I were lucky enough for that dream to become a reality. We met when we were in middle school in 2007 through mutual friends, quickly became best friends, and eventually becoming boyfriend and girlfriend in 2008. In the 14 years weβve been together, we grew as individuals and as a couple through the middle school drama, the defining high school moments, college core memories, the struggle of long distance (California to New Jersey), a pandemic, and the bliss of finally being able to call each other fiancΓ©s. Above all the different dynamics and stages in our relationship, the most important dynamic weβve kept was being each otherβs best friend first. What weβre most excited about for this engagement and our wedding is celebrating our family and friends who have supported us throughout all these years. Weβve spent more than half of our lives together and weβre excited to experience the rest as husband and wife.
Did anyone else get any warm fuzzy feelings in their heart, or was it just me?! π₯Ή Of course, we had to include the iconic yellow taxis in the photos- there was some waiting involved, but itβs always worth it!!
