Nish and Sid are some of the most downest people ever to hang out with! In honor of them moving from Chicago to San Francisco, we explored several parts of the city for their wedding anniversary photos (they got married in India in 2019). Due to the pandemic, it was awhile before we could schedule our session, but we communicated and got to know one another in the meantime as we waited for the shelter-in-place order to lift. As soon as we got the okay, we scheduled their session!!

We began the photo session on California Street, and the beautiful bouquet created by Claire from The Bay Blossoms paired wonderfully with Nish and Sid’s first outfits. The flower bouquet added such a bright summer touch. One of my favorite moments during their session was when I instructed them to lightly splash water right at me. They were a little hesitant, but pro-tip— always, always trust your photographer. The photos came out so so dreamy and definitely was reminiscent of a summer day (yay for Bay Area summers in September!). I also loved that Nish brought bubbles—playing with bubbles gives you an excuse to be a kid again :)

During the entire session, it felt like I’ve been hanging out with old friends! We chatted about everything, from their wedding in India to their travels to their favorite recipes, and we grabbed dinner together after the photo session at a Burmese restaurant (my first time eating at a legit Burmese restaurant!) and wow, the food was just fabulous!!

We even experienced the most surreal sunset together at the beach. It honestly looked like a painting, with vivid colors stretching across and cotton candy clouds.

To Nish + Sid, I can’t ever say this enough, but thank you for trusting me and taking photo risks with me! I wish nothing but endless puns, time to play board games and delicious food in your lives 💕
