HAPPINESS CAN BE FOUND, EVEN IN THE DARKEST OF TIMES, IF ONE ONLY REMEMBERS TO TURN ON THE LIGHT. —ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

Jen and Jon are some of the coolest people ever. They geek out over a lot of things, including Harry Potter and Star Wars. Each table had a themed centerpiece, such as Lord of the Rings and Chucky (an iconic figure in the horror genre).

They decided to incorporate their wands (influenced by Harry Potter) in their first look as if it was a duel battle, and that was sooooo awesome. It really did feel like a wand fight was going to happen (just for a split second), but they opted out for a hug and kiss 🤗 After their first look, they each took a quiet moment for themselves before the ceremony.

One of the most touching parts of this day was that Aubrey, Jon’s sister, was the officiant! I thought that was really sweet that Aubrey led the ceremony and incorporated a pagan ritual of tying ribbons around Jen’s and Jon’s hands— that is a moment to remember forever! Laughter was ensued from the speeches made by close friends and family members during dinner. Everyone swelled with tears and happy emotions as they witnessed Jen and Jon’s first dance as newlyweds.

For the rest of the night, there was dancing, cake-cutting, and then more dancing! Thank you, Jen and Jon, for letting be a part of your special day— I loved hearing everyone share some of their favorite memories with you, I loved that all the kids were super excited for cake and all lined up at the dessert table before the cake-cutting even happened, and most of all, I loved seeing that newly-married glow from you both.
